guess my arms are too buffed up and ripped the armband. so i wear this thing to do exercises and the armband was no good after the second use.
It does perform those functions, but could be better, so no 5 star. I do disagree that the armband is "too small", I have decent size arms and there is ample slack. Overall, I purchased for uses of 1) securing D2+ while working out, and 2) protecting the screen and body of D2+. This package came with good instructions and was pretty easy to setup. I give it four stars considering the low-price. The silicon attracts a fair amount of lint. The fit on my D2+ is good except for right around the screen on one side; it appears a little loose (like it was overstretched), but the holes for the buttons are all right on. The armband works decent, but could be a little uncomfortable after and hour or so.
So the black skin always looks a little dirty. The screen protector fits very tight, which is good. But otherwise, this is a good product. Maybe if they came out with a white version it would be less noticeable. Just make sure you clean the screen well and fit it on the screen with the edges as close as you can get and you will never know the screen protector is on there. The JAVOSkin is good as well. All of the ports and switches are accessible and the skin is a little tacky, so it makes grabbing a hold of the device easy. The only reason I don't give it 5 starts is that the JAVOSkin attracts lint and fuzz.
I really like the screen protector. The strap loops are flimsy and makes it feel as if they might break (though I am sure they won't) Finally the arm strap. It does seem to attract finger prints easy but they are easy enough to clean off. It attracts lint and fur.
Overall I like the Javoskin - my D2 does feel more secure with it on. This is way too small. The second I do anything that flexes my arm it's like a tourniquet. The soft rubber feels like it would absorb a small drop very well but I hope I never have to find out. While I am a bit larger than most people I am not so much larger that this strap should be completely useless. It's thick and easy to apply.
If I slack my arm as much as possible it fits ok(just barely). The case is ok. I am always picking something off of it.
Admittedly, this is a lifestyle preference. This gives me easier access to the controls and a better view of the screen when needed. I prefer a belt pouch, like a cell phone case, that I can slip the Cowon in and out of quickly.
Easy to apply. This is not a criticism of this specific product but rather of armbands in general. The screen protector is great -- much thicker than I predicted, and thus more protective.
Given the design of the Cowon and similar players, it's cumbersome to use the player when it's strapped to my arm. Your mileage may vary. Doesn't seem to inhibit the touchscreen sensitivity at all.The Javoskin is just OK.
It's too thin to provide much in the way of protection, but it does make the Cowon easier to hold onto and it's great for keeping the unit in place on the dash.I gave the armband a quick try and didn't like it.
